Before you apply

Please be honest and complete as possible in your answers so we can get to know you and your family, and what you are looking for in your new family member!!!

Please read the following FAQ statements prior to filling out the document below. There are NO exceptions to the policies

1. 01

   Our code of ethics

   We stand by the DPCA code of ethics and DO NOT support nor condone the breeding of “white” or Albino Dobermans due to the genetic mutation it causes and the many health /temperament issues that are linked to it

2. 02

   Co-ownership and lifetime support

   Any/all puppies will be sold under a Co Ownership agreement to prevent resale, rehoming or ending up in a shelter or rescue, as well as to help ensure they receive a lifetime of support and care from the breeder

3. 03

   Tails, dew claws and ears

   Any/All puppies will be sold with docked tails, dew claws removed, and a medium ear crop as appropriate to the DPCA breed standard

4. 04

   Companion puppies

   Any/all companion puppies will be sold on a limited AKC registration. Spaying females is required under contract, no earlier than 18 months. Neutering males is optional; if you choose to neuter, no earlier than 24 months. And I HIGHLY recommend looking into a Gastropexy.

5. 05

   Show puppies

   Any/all show puppies will be sold on Full AKC registration and under a co-ownership agreement only. A show puppy does not necessarily mean the dog will be bred. A contract will clearly outline all health and titling requirements that must be met before any breeding is considered.

6. 06

   Finding the right home

   Any/all prospective homes will be thoroughly interviewed prior to the puppy being placed including a background check if necessary. Our dogs are our family not just property…they are FAMILY…we treat them as such and will 100 % do the same for you.
